Establishing a New Benchmark for Integrated Development of Green Energy and Skills Training between China and the Democratic Republic of the Congo
In order to deeply implement the green development concept of the Belt and Road Initiative and transform the talent dividend into a driving force for local economic development, on March 28, 2025 (Democratic Republic of the Congo time), the completion and delivery ceremony of the Grace Vocational Education Center, which was assisted by HUACHIN METAL, a funded enterprise of CNMHK , was held in Likasi City. This marks the first time that an enterprise has integrated green new energy into the field of education following the world's first green microgrid mine pilot site, creating a new benchmark for the integrated development of green energy and skills training between China and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The vocational education center delivered this time covers an area of 1,600 square meters and is equipped with a full set of facilities including six classrooms, computer rooms, offices, and playgrounds. It also donated teaching equipment such as computers and sewing machines. For the first time, photovoltaic technology has been integrated into campus construction, illuminating the dreams of local youths to become skilled talents through green energy.
This project is a pragmatic measure to implement vocational education and enhance people's well-being, conveying friendship and hope. The mayor of Likasi City, the mayor of Panda Town, and the local development committee highly praised the project for its efficiency and quality, saying that it "teaches skills and changes destinies". The Congolese National Radio and Television Corporation and other media witnessed the event.
In the future, the enterprise will continue to uphold the concept of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, repay the local society through various benevolent projects, and on the path of continuing the friendship between China and Congo and charting a course for green, low-carbon, and sustainable development, let the achievements of jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative better benefit more Congolese people.
